Registration::.

• A registration fee of eight thousand bolivars (Bs. 8,000.oo) must be paid when registering for the first time at CEVAZ, or when registering after a six-month recess from the course.
• You may request an application form at the information desk, by the entrance of the institution, or download it from our site in the comfort of your home/office. The form must be already filled out before being turned in for registration.
• Whenever possible, CEVAZ guarantees course availability to all enrolled students pursuing a following level, ONLY IF they register within the dates specified in the calendar published on the institution informative board or on the web.
• Students will be reassigned to a level they have just failed as long as there is course availability, or the total cost of a course may be reimbursed in such cases. If a student realizes that they will not be able to take a course after they have registered, they may request a reimbursement of 75 % of the cost of a course before it has begun. NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE AFTER A COURSE HAS BEGUN.
• On the first day of every level, students must turn in the registration receipt they are given upon registration. In case of loss, students may request a copy of the receipt at the registration department upon the payment of a fee. NO TEACHER WILL ADMIT A STUDENT WHO DOES NOT HAVE A REGISTRATION RECEIPT.

Attendance ::.

• All teachers keep track of students` attendance. Absences affect grades as students` class participation is evaluated daily.
The average required to pass a level is also affected (see below).

Minimum Passing Grade ::.

• To pass the level it is necessary to have an average of at least 70 points, minimum.
In case the student has been absent for more than 8 hours, the minimum passing
grade then has to be 75 & over.-
 

Exams::.

• A written mid-term exam is given halfway through the course and a final
one when completing the level.
The student must also take a final oral exam.

Make-Up Exams::.

• If taken after the date originally fixed for the exam, course availability is not guaranteed for the next level.
• These exams cost Bs 11.500,oo and they have a duration of thirty (30) days.
• The student shall take this exam during office hours.
• Exam availability shall have to be confirmed with Academic Coordination 24 hours before taking the exam.

Placement Exams::.

• They’re taken before registration; children as well as adults, with the purpose of placing the applicant on the level best suited for his knowledge of the language.
Here in our Maracaibo site as also in Cabimas, they shall be given during varying time slots and days, pursuant to the publishing of the placement dates. They cost Bs 6.000,oo

Passes::.

• They're handed to the teacher on the first day of class in case the student forgets
or loses the registration voucher. They cost Bs 1.000,oo.-
 

Number of Students per Course::.

• For the benefit of all, the maximum number of students per course is 20.
CEVAZ has the right to open levels or not, taking into account the number of students registered in the level.

Student Voucher::.

• Evidence that the student is active is made available at Reception by way of
a Voucher and has to be requested during three (3) working days, pursuant to
payment of its cost (Bs 1.000,oo)

Diplomas::.

• When finishing each cycle (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced) the student
can request his Diploma at Reception. It costs Bs 3.000,oo and are given one
month after they are requested, (on Fridays).
 

Course Availability::.

• Whenever possible CEVAZ provides course availability for the next level
to active students.
 

Changing Schedules::.

• Possible after the registration of active students, and in these cases availability
is not guaranteed.

Discount Prices::.

 > Discounts in the cost of courses are granted to:
• College Students:
Ten percent (10%) off when submitting some kind of standing voucher or student
card from any technical institution or university.
• Siblings::
Ten percent (10%) off after the second registered sibling and up to a limit of three (3).
• Institutional Member:
Fifteen or Twenty percent (15/20%) off according to the Membership
Program for Institutional Members or a pre-established agreement.-
 

Reimbursement of Tuition::.

• Repeating Student:  If there were no availability in the corresponding level, 100% is refunded.
• Student Withdrawals: If the student withdraws before the beginning of classes, he is refunded 75%.
• There shall be no refunds once classes begin.
• No refunds are given for books, tapes, etc.

Parking Lot ::.

• Students and users of services: All students and users alike of the different services of the Institution (Student Counseling, Library, Cultural Events, etc.) shall park their vehicles on the corner of 3G Avenue and 3D-3 Street, the former Maracaibo Theater, three blocks from the main site. CEVAZ supplies a shuttle service by way of confortable air-conditioned vans. This parking area is constantly under surveillance.
